Dr. Yan completed her degree, cum laude, in June 1982 from SUNY School of Optometry. She joined Metro Optics in Sept 1982 and remaines a loyal member of its optometry team to date, serving the Bronx community over 42 years. She was certified to treat ocular diseases in 1997, and has been an active member of American Optometric Association since her student days in 1979. She is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, Optometry’s honor society. In 2015, she was honored as one of The Bronx’s 25 Influential Women.
Dr. Steiminger earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and later graduated, with clinical honors, from the New England College of Optometry. With more than 20 years of experience, he is committed to providing quality eye care and he takes pride in explaining patients' conditions in a way that they can understand. Dr. Steiminger is licensed to practice optometry to the fullest extent permitted by New York State law, and he has also lectured to nursing students on common eye diseases and their treatments.
Dr. Gormady earned her doctor of optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. She has been practicing in the Bronx for over a decade, performing countless routine and medical exams. She has expertise in diagnosis and treatment of many ocular conditions including glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Gormady takes a great deal of pride in giving every patient the best exam experience possible, and aims to leave her patients feeling listened to, cared for, and treated like family.
Dr. Jassimine Davis is an optometrist who specializes in primary eye care and contact lenses. She graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2016 and has practiced at Metro Optics since 2018.
Dr. Stark Graduated from Pennsylvania college of Optometry now Salus University. He has been treating adults and children in Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester County over 25 yrs.
Dr. Stark practices primary family eye care, and provides numerous services including: Giving precise prescriptions and carefully fitting various types of contact lenses. Assessing and treating Dry Eye and it's causes. Addressing the various factors affecting Computer Vision Syndrome. Refering and co-managung cataract and corrective surgery, Providing care for contact lens complications. Diagnosing, treating and managing diseases of the anterior segment of the eye. These include red eyes, styes, and dryness issues.
Family eye care and education are most important to Dr Stark for continued eye health and comfort in our stressed and screened visual environment.
Dr. Minsky grew up in Brooklyn NY. After receiving his Ophthalmic Dispensing license in 1973 he graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1978. Prior to 17 fruitful years at Metro Optics Dr Minsky was chief optometrist at Benjamin Optical in Harlem. When not at work he is with his grandchildren or riding his bicycle.
Dr. Puja Patel earned her doctorate degree with clinical honors at The New England College of Optometry and completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Jamaica Plain Veterans Affairs Hospital in Boston, MA.
Her passion lies in providing primary eye care for patients of all ages. She has extensive knowledge in the treatment and management of a range of ocular conditions, including dry eye, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Her goal is to ensure all patients feel comfortable and are provided with the best care possible. She is also able to perform eye exams in Spanish.
Outside of eyecare, Dr. Patel loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Dr. LoriAnn Gics-Scerbo is an optometrist working at Metro Optics Eyewear for the past 20 years. She continues to serve her community focusing on primary care optometry, customized eyewear needs, and contact lenses. Dr. Gics-Scerbo received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University, and worked in the social work field prior to returning to SUNY College of Optometry for her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Gics-Scerbo is a mom of five and enjoys reading and bicycling.
Dr. Rahul Danda earned his degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has been practicing with Metro Optics since 2021, where he specializes in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions. He is dedicated to providing personalized comprehensive eye care to improve the visual health and quality of life for his patients.
